Indigenous business Yaraandoo launches in Western Australia and Queensland

Yaraandoo is a majority Indigenous owned contractor providing electrical contracting services to clients in the resources, infrastructure and defence sectors.

The business venture unites industry veteran and Ngarrindjeri nation man, Randy Keeble, with one of Australia’s longest operating contracting entities, the Ertech Group.

Business Director and majority shareholder, Randy, has a 30-year track record as a licensed electrician and project leader in the construction industry.  He has worked on some of Australia’s largest construction projects and is well-versed in delivering projects that meet the highest standards of health, safety and environmental practice.

Randy’s on-site experience across regions and sites is of unique value when combined with his passion and experience in mentoring team members seeking to develop their career in the electrical services industry.

The Ertech Group brings four decades of experience in building infrastructure for public and private sector clients to the partnership.

Over the last decade, the Group has invested in several niche businesses, including contracting entities Geomarine, Fortec and now Yaraandoo.

The Group’s earlier investment start-up business, Duratec Australia,  is now listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Ertech’s investment in Yaraandoo is an extension of a genuine and long-term commitment to Indigenous participation and development.

In addition to drawing on the Group’s success in growing businesses, the partnership will benefit from Ertech’s experience and knowledge in creating career pathways for Indigenous or disadvantaged youth, as the founding member of what is now known as the Motivation Foundation Civil and Mining Academy.
